About the She Leads Conference
16 – 17 May | QT Canberra
The She Leads Conference brings women from a range of sectors, at all stages of their leadership journeys, together with Australia’s most inspiring women leaders.
This year, we have crafted our program to explore the theme ‘Transform’ – focusing on stories of personal transformation and experiences from women leaders who are transforming their workplaces, industries and communities.
Our speakers will each bring a unique perspective to discussions of women’s leadership. Visit the 'Speakers' page to read about the incredible women who will be sharing their stories and advice.
The 2016 conference program will include a selection of optional masterclasses facilitated by leading Canberra-based trainers (to take place on May 16). These masterclasses are a fantastic opportunity to accelerate your professional development and prepare you for the next step in your leadership journey.

Why attend the She Leads Conference?
Despite all the gains women have made in obtaining formal leadership positions, the reality for many Australian women is that they are still locked out of decision making and leadership roles. Further, the significant leadership contributions by women within their family and community are often unrecognised and undervalued.
At YWCA Canberra we know that developing women’s leadership is fundamental to addressing these issues and advancing gender equality. We believe that women’s unique perspectives and experiences must be heard, and that the community will benefit as a whole from women’s contribution to leadership. The She Leads Program is YWCA Canberra’s leadership pathway for women who are looking to explore and develop their leadership.
With a program that includes four professional development masterclasses (taking place on Monday 16 May), and a multi-stream conference rich with networking opportunities, interactive skills development sessions, and inspiring keynotes – this is an event not to be missed. So, join us for a day of learning and sharing – to build your capability as a transformational leader.
